Our frail care residents need assistance to bathe, dress, eat and walk (or are wheelchair-bound) but do not require special intensive medical or psychological care.

Emma Barter Victoria Home frail care amenities offer the safe and carefree lifestyle your loved one deserves.​

There are approx. 16 beds available for Frail Care residents in the original Victoria Memorial section of the Home. 4 single rooms, 2 double rooms and 2 wards with 4 beds in each.

Each room is supplied with a bed, side table, chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Residents in single rooms are welcome to bring their own furniture as well as TV, radio, small fridge and personal items. Residents must supply their own bed linen and towels. 

Frail Care residents are bathed daily. Laundry is also done daily. Rooms are cleaned every day. 

Carers and nursing staff are available, 24/7, for the needs of all our residents, but especially our frail care residents.  The nursing station is housed within this section of the Home. 

A government doctor visits the Home every week for any medical needs and a private ambulance service is contracted to the Home for emergency care and hospital transport.

No cooking is allowed in the rooms. 

All meals are held in a separate dining area for the Frail care residents. 

No pets are allowed. 

The garden areas are available for all our residents to enjoy however no residents may leave the premises without signing out. 

No smoking is allowed in the rooms however there are designated smoking areas for those residents that smoke. Cigarettes must be supplied by friends or family members. 

A tuck shop is available twice a week to purchase sweets, snacks, soft drinks and some toiletries.
