Ways to Give

As EBVH is a home with many residents of minimal resources, we rely on donations to make up the difference and assist with the running and maintenance of the Home.

Donate

Financial support is vital to give our resident’s dignified lives and for a sustainable future for them, for the rest of their days.

Some of our residents simply don’t have the means to support themselves. Your support in the form of a once off, monthly or legacy giving, no matter how small the amount, would be greatly appreciated.

As a registered Non-Profit Organization, we can issue 18A certificates on request to make your contribution tax deductible.

Food Contributions

Food donations are always very welcome at the Home.

Occasionally a resident’s family supply birthday cake and biscuits for all the residents, but sadly this is rare. Often times the day passes uneventfully due to lack of funds. Biscuits and cake are therefore always appreciated.

Meat for the occasional braai, fresh fruits and vegetables, tinned food or snacks. Our residents are always excited to hear that there has been a delivery and that people are thinking of them with love.

Give us a call or fill in our contact form to arrange.

Supplies

Please think of us when you discard your old Furniture, large and small, working electrical appliances especially bedside lamps, mattresses, cupboards and chairs. If it is still in reasonable condition, we would welcome it.

So too bed linen and blankets, towels, toiletries especially adult diapers, cleaning supplies, reading glasses, books and games

Wool and stuffing for the knitting club to office supplies, the list is endless.

Please fill in our contact form and let us know what you have. We look forward with excitement, to any items which could enhance the lives of our dear residents.

Volunteers

If you have time on your hands and a specific talent like singing, playing an instrument, dancing or any other, our residents would love to be entertained. Or even if you would just like to read to, or spend time chatting with our residents.

If you are a hairdresser, masseuse, nail artist or would love to pamper our residents in any way, they would greatly appreciate it.

Human interaction is vitally important for the psychological wellbeing of most people, especially for those residents of ours without family. We therefore welcome anyone who would love to bring a ray of sunshine into the lives of our dear residents.

Give us a call or fill in our contact form to arrange.
